We can get so used to pushing forward, making things happen, and doing, that we sometimes find it hard to listen and hear what it is that we, at a Soul level, truly desire. And then honouring ourselves by choosing it!

That’s okay. This can be transformed!

First, take a moment to just breathe. Stop doing, making mental lists, plans, etc.

As you breathe, breathe into your Soul awareness and ask yourSelf “What is it I truly want in this moment?”

See what your answer is.

If an answer doesn’t come, try this.

Ask yourself if you want something specific. For example:

“Do I want to keep working right now?”

“Do I want to exercise right now?”

“Do I want to take a break right now?”

“Is this (activity/action) what I really want to do right now?”

Listen for an answer. If you don’t hear a clear “yes” or “no” from your Soul, ask the question again and feel into your body.

When you ask the question, note how your body feels?

Is it constricted, tight, hunched over, tense or with a pain somewhere? This is a no.

Is it relaxed, open, loose, excited? This is a yes.

Then, see what happens to your body and your mood when you make the question an opposite statement.

For example, you asked “Do I want to exercise right now?” and your body went tense or felt tired or achy.

Say “I’m not going to exercise right now” and see how you feel. Does the body relax? Do you feel joyful at making that decision?

This works for the “Yes” answer, too, in reverse.

“Do I want to exercise right now?” and your body relaxed and/or you felt energized/excited/joyful/etc.

Say “I’m not going to exercise right now” and see how you feel. Does the body tense up. Do you feel irritated, annoyed?

The more you play with this, the more you get used to listening to your Soul and trusting what it is telling you – either directly or through your body. And then it becomes so natural, you are able to choose and decide what you want in a moment.
